The City is seeking a professional expert in the field of public utilities, development, planning and engineering to serve as its next Utility Manager. An individual who is comfortable being the single point of contact for projects throughout the planning, budgeting, design, review, construction, and inspection processes is desired. The incoming Utility Manager will be a confident, forward thinker, performing well under pressure. The ideal candidate will have a team-oriented mindset, working with employees to achieve efficient overall operation, and will exercise tactful leadership to establish effective working relationships. Qualified candidates possess a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or a field directly related to the essential functions of the job and five (5) years of experience in supervisory, design, review, and management of engineering projects. A master’s degree in related civil engineering field is preferred. Candidates must possess and maintain a valid registration as a Professional Civil Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Nevada or obtain reciprocal registration within six (6) months of hire as well as maintain the Incident Command System (ICS) 100/200 within ninety 90 days of hire and ICS 300 as soon as available. Possessing and maintaining the equivalent to a valid Nevada Class C driver's license within thirty (30) days of hire is required.
The annual salary range for the Utility Manager is $100,984.00 - $151,465.60; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience.
