The Redding City Council seeks an exceptional, experienced attorney with demonstrated expertise in municipal law, particularly in the areas of land use and economic development, conflict of interest law, Brown Act compliance, drafting and review of contracts, public works, employment law, and code enforcement. Candidates for this position should be known for their ability to work through conflict and disagreement respectfully while maintaining and enhancing positive working relationships.  A Juris Doctorate from an accredited school of law and State Bar of California membership is required.  Experience with municipal electrical utility law is a plus.

 

The starting salary is dependent upon professional qualifications and experience. The current annual salary for the position is $251,004 and open to negotiation.  CalPERS retirement, generous medical, dental, vision coverages and other benefits are also provided by the City of Redding.
