The City of Milpitas is seeking FOUR (4) Information Technology (IT) Analysts to join its highly talented and supportive Information Technology (IT) Department. This role performs a variety of duties to support the Department’s mission to provide innovative, reliable, secure, and cost-effective technology services for the City and its departments. Balancing technical and interpersonal skills, such as clear communication, relationship building, and customer service, is essential for this position. The ideal candidates will be highly analytical and able to use their problem-solving skills to identify and implement more effective systems and processes across the City. They will thrive in a fast-paced work environment while staying calm and focused. THE IDEAL CANDIDATES The ideal candidates will be well versed in data protection and cybersecurity. They will be concise communicators, often explaining highly technical concepts to employees outside of the IT Department, as well as highly customer service focused. Being able to work well with others and collectively contribute to the betterment of the City’s systems and technological capabilities is paramount to this role. The selected candidates will bring advanced knowledge of programming and scripting systems, Microsoft Window Server systems, Microsoft 365 administration, and operating system and database software. They will be eager to solve complex IT problems while maintaining a calm demeanor and positive attitude.
