Job Description

The City seeks two forward thinking building professionals who enjoy working in a collaborative, dynamic environment leading process improvement. One Deputy Building Official will focus on permit processing and the other inspection services.
Ideal candidates will have knowledge of best practices in building code application, familiarity with the latest permitting technology and success leading change. With a strong customer orientation, these hands-on officials will prioritize the community’s needs and lead their teams in providing outstanding service.
Both positions require five years of increasingly responsible experience in building inspection, plan review, design, or construction. In addition, education equivalent to an Associate’s degree, possession of a California Driver’s License and Residential or Commercial Combination Inspector or CAL Green Certification is expected.
